I’m sitting in my living room, watching an outdoor video of a cat in a chair, an open book on a small table, its pages waving in the gentle breeze, a stream flowing gently not far away, and birds singing.
I’ve been sitting here a while, asking the Lord what I need to be writing since I don’t have a planned topic. My aging cat is asleep on a chair, half hidden under the table. The home feels…quiet. The last three days I’ve spent reorganizing my home. Basically putting it into a simpler format. I’m far from quiet in that process.
Today I’m dealing with sore knees and back, tired, and thinking there is more to do, but I told myself today was a day for the blog and working on the novel I’m writing. Unfortunately, the brain isn’t cooperating.
So, just to keep some semblance of order and regularity here, I’ve decided to share one of the videos I put on occasionally. Sometimes my old cat finds it fascinating. Sometimes he ignores it. I view it as my substitute for being outdoors where God’s creation sings, creatures are curious, and the mind is full of all kinds of ideas.
May your day be full of all the wonders of God’s creation. Vicki
