It’s funny how you think you have a good understanding of your life, your actions, the why and how you do or don’t do things, and then God’s Word in a quick and simple scripture shows you how off the path you’ve travelled for long enough that it hurts when truth is revealed.

-It’s easy to see that explanations were really excuses.

-That idleness was not just physical issues, but a lack of faith that leads to laziness.

-That making personal choices to make other things possible ended up being a diversion from doing something challenging and ultimately rewarding.

Please understand this is not about pointing fingers at anyone. This is an area my Lord has made clear to me. Areas I need to work on for the right reasons, reasons that align with God’s Word, His plan for my life. Even at my age, there are always things to learn, or relearn, and grow from. This appears to be my season of reflection, a revival of sorts.

We all have our own paths to walk as the Lord leads. Trust Him to lead you above anything or anyone. His peace, His joy, His presence are so worth any changes, any efforts, and sometimes any loss that happens in our lives. His preparation for us to fulfil His commission, to successfully go and make disciples, is the best victory imaginable.
