I started a chronological Bible study podcast, and today I did day 25. I know myself well enough to know that just because I start something doesn’t mean I’ll keep it up. So far, I’m not only hanging in but also learning things, even though, like many, I’ve read the verses many times and yet always get new revelation.

In fact, I chose to start another deep personal study, something I do every five years or so, and got a new Bible with space for study notes and journaling. Best part of that: I’d collected enough discount points to use on Amazon and got the Bible for less than $6.

Between the podcast and my personal study, I can say I am washed daily in the Word.

With the novel still in progress and this blog, my days have plenty to keep me busy. I may have to find some stronger reading glasses, though.

Just sharing a bit with you about how our Lord is working in my life. Prayer is first on my list for starting my day. I was led to read the following verses in the book of John. It is encouraging to know that Jesus’ prayer is not only for the first disciples but for all of us who believe. Still is. It teaches us a lot about prayer. It is a firm commitment that all but screams “I Love You”.

Embrace His love, read His Word, and let’s all pray for each other.

The High Priestly Prayer
​ When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. nd this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. nd now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.
