Today’s Psalm was Psalm 11, and I found it be be bold and encouraging, annother confident way to address the enemy when he’s whispering lies to me.

And so I respond to the whispers from Satan – Who are you to say to me to run away? Look at yourself, you shoot in the dark. You think if you destroy the foundations that I am helpless? The Lord remains on His throne, and He tests me, and punishes the wicked. God is righteous, and loves the deeds of the righteous, and when he tests me and I am found to be upright, I know I will see His face.

God’s Word against the enemy always wins.

Psalm 11 (ESV)

In the Lord I take refuge;
how can you say to my soul,
    Flee like a bird to your mountain,
for behold, the wicked bend the bow;
    they have fitted their arrow to the string
    to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart;
if the foundations are destroyed,
    what can the righteous do?[a]

The Lord is in his holy temple;
    the Lord’s throne is in heaven;
    his eyes see, his eyelids test the children of man.
The Lord tests the righteous,
    but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.
Let him rain coals on the wicked;
    fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
For the Lord is righteous;
he loves righteous deeds;
    the upright shall behold his face.

Quote of the week

Ephesians 5:1-2 (World English Bible)

Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children. Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
