After fighting two computers, completing wiping out the two systems and starting all over again, having to download again the programs used, and making sure every Wi-Fi operating object in the home is not connected at the same time so things aren’t slowed down, here I am.

The latest novel is downloaded to a flash drive, first draft completed and put aside for a while, to return to in a few weeks with fresh eyes. The brain needs a break from the rather complex job of making the plot and subplots meld smoothly. Computer issues caused me to lose at three different times partial chapters of better than 1,000 words each. I made sure it was saved, and am now going to focus more on writing the blog, getting my home in some kind of simple holiday order, and enjoying being alive in a home and community where God has placed me.

So, here on the blog I hope to share some holiday recipes, some holiday music, some rambling thoughts, and of course the things God is showing me in my faith journey and asks me to share with you.

So, today is a reintroduction of sorts to Faith By Choice Today. Not sure what the posting schedule will be, but if you have subscribed, you’ll get email notices on the posts. To see the recipes and worship sections, you will need to check out those pages, as they don’t have an option to subscribe to them.

I simplified the site for my purposes. I liked the way it was because of the options it gave me, but it was extra steps I have chosen not to use my time performing.

All that to say, it sure feels good to be back sharing some time with my friends here.

The verse for this day, from Bible Gateway:

Psalm 100:4-5 (English Standard Version)

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

Have a blessed Saturday, my friends! – Vicki

Quote of the week

Ephesians 5:1-2 (World English Bible)

Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children. Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
