The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. Lamentations 3:25

Have you ever felt like you were in a season of waiting? In a way, that is where I feel am, and yet, I also anticipate some positive changes. Nothing major because major change isn’t something I aspire to or desire. But the anticipation can make the waiting a bit easier.

The scripture I led with spoke to me this morning. The Lord is good to those who wait…for Him. A big difference from just waiting. There are so many ways to wait for the Lord before and after the coming of Christ. That is where the seeking Him part is so important; “..to the soul who seeks Him.”

According to the Biblical definition (Human Bible Dictionary), the soul is the body’s living, breathing, conscious part. The part that enables humankind to experience emotions. And, yes, the soul can die.

The soul and spirit are not the same. This verse clearly shows that the soul seeking God will be found good in God’s eyes. So, using the definition of soul, we know that our bodies are a very important part of our love and worship of God. That the conscious mind is a part of our relationship with God. At all levels, our emotions are also an important part of that relationship.

And so, as I wait, I seek, study, and reflect on verses like Lamentations 3:25. And the more I seek, the more my spirit connection with Jesus Christ grows deeper.

Just some rumination on my seeking. Be blessed today, my friends. – Vicki

Quote of the week

Ephesians 5:1-2 (World English Bible)

Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children. Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
