I will post a clip of a movie I watched at 5:30 am today. I don’t usually turn on the television that early unless I’m looking for the weather or I’ve recorded something I fell asleep on and want to catch the ending. At my age, that happens…quite often.

This movie came out about thirteen years ago, and I still watch it every time I see it. Some would say that is odd, considering it is about a high school football team, and I’m not particularly into football.

Anyway, it was a great reminder to me this morning, even in the dramatized movie form, that God can do what He pleases when He pleases, and because He loves us, He will work in our lives for the good.

If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll recognize these pivotal scenes from the movie. Those points of surrendering control to God and accepting His plans. I found this on YouTube and claim no rights to the clip. Fair warning, it is about five minutes long.

I just found it very encouraging for me in particular, and sometimes something different can speak to us. And I’m sure you’ll be happy to wait on my reflections on memorizing scripture.

Have a blessed day, my friends. – Vicki

Quote of the week

Ephesians 5:1-2 (World English Bible)

Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children. Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
